Sooooo….how are you all getting on during lockdown? Tough times eh in quarantine. Its very strange for us all not to be able to socialise and go out and about freely. I’ve seen my busy, vibrant community, Saltaire change drastically and I hope things will slowly start to return to some form of normal over the coming months as this dreadful pandemic gets under control. I’m missing my favourite cafe Tambourine and also going out for drinks with all my lovely friends. I’m lucky! Although things are very quiet in the flower industry I have a lovely family and a dog and I’m healthy and safe and thankfully, I’m not working on the frontline. I’ve been trying to spread a bit of flowery joy by giving away hand-tied bunches and jam jars on Instagram. If you have a friend of relative who is working for the NHS or in another important key worker role or is perhaps struggling in self-isolation and needs a cheery bouquet to give them a boost then look out for these free bouquets on your feed. I make them using supermarket flowers and local foliage, mainly from my own garden. EXCITING NEWS….although I haven’t been able to work much lately I am starting out a MONTHLY FLOWER SUBSCRIPTION “Wild Wednesdays” will be delivered the 3rd Wednesday of every month, starting this month. This costs just £30 including delivery in the Saltaire, Shipley, Bingley and Baildon area.
